Cindy, I have totally been there. I worried for years about getting cancer, aids, brain tumors-every day something! You really aren't going crazy. All of your OCD Instrusive thoughts are more common than you think. I have had them-and I am now trying to bring awareness to the Obsession part of OCD. most people think we just wash our hands alot. I have come to the healing point in my life where I want to speak out, and let others know they are not alone, and they need to talk about it! I wrote an article that is on a website now. I can truly say I know what your feeling. It's AWFUL!

I examine every symptom I have and try to connect it with some disease. mMy biggie now is AIDS, I have obssessive thoughts about this every waking moment of my life. Even the rituals are getting bad (fear of causing harm to others). When i tell my friends and family about this they think i am ridiculous! The worst thing is that I work in health care and let me tell you ingorance is bliss!! Please someone tell me they share any of my same fears and behaviors. To give you an example when the paper boy dropped off the paper he put it in the middle of the stairs... I moved that thing about 4 times just to make sure that no one would slip on it and fall..PLEASE HELP ME...I'm making myself sick >>��~C
