Dave was diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in 2006 after experiencing his first panic attack. He was severely depressed throughout the following year; everyday was a struggle and he simply did not see the point of going on. In this video, he relates to those who feel like they can’t talk to anyone about what they’re going through, arguing that they can and that it helps. Dave explains that the pressures and stress put on us by society are bound to take their toll. He makes an excellent point in saying we expect our bodies to fall apart while our minds are supposed to stay strong, which isn’t the case. Watch the video for more insights and advice from Dave. “You are significant, and you deserve to be here, and you have a right to,” he says.
